I’m a Southerner, voluntarily stranded in the UK’s most stunning Lake District national park for more than 10 years.
I moved to Cumbria specifically to shoot more landscape work. I’ve since had my work published in The Times and selected for a show at The Tate, I was an artist in residence at the Village Bakery Gallery in Melmerby for a while, and went on to run my own gallery near Ullswater for a couple of years. So that's gone quite well so far.
My landscape work has led me to new areas of commercial work, particularly in outdoor apparel for clients like Sprayway and The Shackleton Company, which in turn led my finding the interesting niche of fashion-in-landscape photographer, shooting regular collections for The Fibre Company.
Back in London, a very long time ago, my very first job as an assistant was working for a fashion photographer.
Funny how these things go around…
- Yes, I am still available for some commissioned work.
- Yes, if you can tell me a bit about the job I'd be very happy to provide you with a quote.
- Yes, I will be exhibiting again, I'm just not quite sure where/when.
- No, I'm not running workshops at the moment (but I do still do some personal tuition days).
